Who lives in a pineapple under the Sea? SpongeBob SquarePants!  SpongeBob the Musical has hit stages by storm.  Grosh Backdrops is excited to present the perfect backdrop for this production, Bikini Bottom.  The Musical is based on the Nickelodeon animated television series, SpongeBob SquarePants. The musical originally called SpongeBob SquarePants made its debut in June 2016 at the Oriental Theater in Chicago.  The show opened on Broadway at the Palace Theater in December 2017.  The musical opened to critical acclaim with twelve Tony Award nominations. The show has all of your favorite characters from the animated television series: SpongeBob, Gary the Sea Snail, Patrick his best friend, his cantankerous neighbor Squidworth, Sandy Cheeks and of course, his boss Mr. Krabs and his daughter Patty.   The story begins with a violent tremor that is caused by Mount Humongous.  The town believes it will destroy Bikini Bottom. Of course, Plankton wants to use the town's fear in his evil scheme to get the town to come to the Chum Bucket. SpongeBob embarks on a quest to save his town. Our theatrical backdrop will bring your show to life and help SpongeBob save the day.  It displays the main setting that you see in the television series, the underwater town where SpongeBob and his friends live.  In the background of the drop, you see light and dark blue swirls.  On top of the dark blue swirls are abstract flower clouds in various bright colors.  You can also see water bubbles floating throughout the scenic backdrop.  Our backdrop is ideal for your performance of SpongeBob the Musical, but also would look great in productions of  Alice in Wonderland, Little Mermaid Jr., Hairspray and is a great abstract for dance recitals.
