Description

1890s Storefront is a backdrop typically used to portray the downtown areas of small towns of the late 19th or early 20th centuries. Our theatrical 1890’s Storefront backdrop depicts shops set on the first floor of brick buildings. Our adorable backdrop takes you back to a much slower time where one strolled downtown on Sunday after church.  On stage left is a two story brick building that houses a bakery.  In the window you can see all of the cakes.  In the center of the backdrop is the ladies favorite store Betty’s Dress Shop.  In the store window you see three mannaquins.  One is of a women dress in 1890’s attire and in the second window it appears to be a children dressed for church.  On the right of the dress shop is another two story building with apartments over the store.

Grosh Backdrops 1890s Storefront is used for plays and musicals that are set in small towns, such as The Music Man, Hello Dolly, Bye Bye Birdie, and many others.
