There’s no time to be chillin’ like a villain when the tale of Disney’s Descendants is just waiting to be told!
Our story begins in the United States of Auradon, ruled by Queen Belle and King Beast. The royal family has banished all villains to the Isle of the Lost, where no magic can be wielded and have successfully kept the villains out of Auradon, until their son, Prince Ben, announces that he will be granting four children from the Isle of the Lost the opportunity to live in Auradon away from the influence of their villainous parents.
Mal, daughter of Maleficent, Evie, daughter of the Evil Queen, Carlos, son of Cruella de Vil, and Jay, son of Jafar are selected to cross the barrier out of the Isle, and live in Auradon. Despite the chance to be good, the descendants hatch a plan to give power back to the villains and take over Auradon. Mal needs to steal the Fairy Godmother’s wand and bring it back to Maleficent to be used to open up the portal between their worlds.
Once in Auradon, the descendants discover the wand will be used at Prince Ben’s coronation and it is Mal who has to get close enough to Ben to take it. Using her mother’s spell book, Mal creates a love potion to use on the prince so that he will fall madly in love with her, and invite her to sit by his side at his coronation. The more time Mal spends with Ben, the more she begins to fall in love with him, forgetting the task at hand.
As Mal and her friends begin to like their new life in Auradon they have to choose: become the villains they’re expected to be or throw it all away for the chance to be good?
We open the show in Auradon, the home of King Beast and Queen Belle. Bring your audience to Auradon Preparatory and introduce them to the royal family with our elegant Estate Garden backdrop!
